Un hommage à Piet Mondriaan

Valéry Grancher s’est associé à la galerie Monochrome Paris pour modéliser l’atelier de l’artiste Piet Mondrian qui était situé rue du Départ à Paris. Un siècle après la création de Der Stijl en 1917, Valéry Grancher s’inspire des problématiques de l’époque, les questionnant à la lumière des nouvelles technologies.

Mondrian cherchait à atteindre « l’essence de l’art » par sa production artistique et s’attachait à n’utiliser que des moyens d’expression fondamentaux tel que des lignes verticales et horizontales juxtaposées à des notes de couleurs primaires, afin d’aboutir à une forme de langage universel.

Il souhaitait ainsi recréer une harmonie dans le monde qu’il jugeait chaotique par l’emploi d’une économie plastique, cette harmonie étant fondée sur l’absence de symétrie symbolisant finalement un conflit qui serait résolu. An hommage to Piet Mondriaan

Valéry Grancher has partnered with the Monochrome Paris VR Art Factory to model the Piet Mondriaan studio which was located rue du Départ in Paris. A century after the creation of Der Stijl on 1917, Valéry Grancher was inspired by the issues of the time, questioning them in the light of new technologies.

Mondriaan sought to achieve "the essence of art" through his artistic production and was committed to using only fundamental means of expression such as vertical and horizontal lines juxtaposed with notes of primary colors, in order to lead to a form of universal language.

He wanted to recreate a harmony in the world that he considered chaotic by the use of a plastic economy, this harmony being based on the lack of symmetry finally symbolizing a conflict that would be resolved.
