"Concept Forest", Art Day September 22 2018, Aberdeen, Hong Kong

I have to thank Dominique Perregaux, the Art Day Team for the production of my Public Art Project "Concept Forest" on last September 22: Five column 2m30 high were spreaded all around Wong Chuk Hang road in Aberdeen South Island Cultural District in Hong Kong. The purpose was to deal with the new Chinese Technological context in Hong Kong based on video surveillance and AI with big keywords written on them such like "dystopia", "disruption", "surveillance", "social ranking", "money", "power" for example. On Each Column there was a QR Code connected to an online video showing the Hong Kong urbanity. People were able with their mobile phone to see this video by scanning this QR code. A few days before the event Hong Kong was hit by Mangkhut Typhoon, the worst one since decades... So I decided to show this destruction on these columns by showing deformation on them such like impact. It was a way to deal with the new Hong Kong urbanity defined at this time by Mangkhut destruction... I have the pleasure to share with you some photos about this project ! Photos by Christopher Lee
